Then spend a day in Ninh Binh, explore Tam Coc,  it carries a unique natural landscape from mountain rocks, ecosystems, forest trees, vegetation, rice fields, lagoon lakes and river cruises. And then visiting Hoa Lu ancient capital, it was the capital city of Vietnam under the Dinh Dynasty between AD 968 and AD 980. Some of the sanctuaries and tombs have survived the countless years and can still be visited today. Finally, you will discover both of Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay, a mysterious paradise of Tonkin gulf. The unspoiled Lan Ha Bay and new attractions would be made to get the different journeys.

Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival (-)

You are arrival at our thousand years Capital – Hanoi city. Our driver will welcome you at the airport and then be transferred to our hotel in the center of city.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B/ L)

08.30 you will start the tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-palace. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he used to live in the past. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, built by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.

Continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam) – Vietnam’s first University constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum. After that we will take you to Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful water, and visit Ngoc Son Temple.

17.00 Back to your hotel. It’s your free time now to have dinner and a short while to explore the streets of Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Pu Luong (B/ L/ D) 

08.00 – 08.30 Pick-ups at Hotel and start the Pu Luong which is southwest of Hanoi. About 3 hours, roughly 160km southwest of Hanoi, in Thanh Hoa Province, the scenery in Pu Luong Nature Reserve is sublime: rice terraces cascade down mountainsides into clear rivers, beside which wood-and-thatch homes perch on raised platforms, with limestone peaks poking above low-hanging cloud all around. 

12.00 – 13.00 Arrival in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Check in and have lunch at a local restaurant

14.30 – 17.30 Board the van to the starting point. Following the small road through the terrace rice and sugar cane fields, cross the Hanging Bridges to visit other remote rural villages of Thai Ethnic. Stop at the giant waterwheels, ducks farm to learn about the agriculture before getting on the Bamboo Raft for a relaxing cruise on Cham stream (cruise depending on weather conditions).

17.30 Pick up the van to go to the Eco Garden – Mountain Retreat. Enjoy swimming in the Infinity Pool.

19.00 Have dinner at the lodge enjoys some local rice wine. Have a quiet night in the middle of the Reserve.

Day 4: Explore Kho Muong Village - Doi Cave – Ninh Binh (B/ L/ D)

07.00 – 08.00 Have breakfast. Enjoying the breathtaking view

08.30 – 12.00 Trek following the small roads through the terrace rice fields and cross the stream to visit remote hidden village of Kho Muong to learn about the local people in Pu Luong. Explore Doi Cave (Bat cave), this is the largest cave in Pu Luong. (Depending on the weather condition)

13.00 Have lunch and have free time to relax in the Infinity pool or walking around the village before boarding the bus to go to Ninh Binh at 14:30.

17.30 Arrive in Ninh Binh Retreat, check in and have free time.

19.00 Have dinner at the local restaurant

Day 5: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Ninh Binh (B/ L)

08.00 – 08.30 we pick you up at your hotel and depart to Ninh Binh province.

10. 30 Arrive at Mua Cave, the most beautiful place to view in Ninh Binh, which is considered as “miniature Great Wall” of Vietnam, hiking to the peak of  Mua cave, you will see whole Tam Coc landscape and Ninh Binh city.

11.30 Go back to the car and move to our local restaurant

You have lunch at our local restaurant to try special delicious local Ninh Binh cuisine and then take a rest for 20 minutes before visiting next destination.

13.00 Join the boat trip in Tam Coc to see natural and amazing scenery of this landscape with 3 magical grottos: Hang Ca (First Grotto), Hang Hai (Second Grotto), Hang Ba (Third Grotto). Especially rowing boat through Ngo Dong river to see rice field is a awesome experience.

You can feel the deeply pure atmosphere with special smell of fresh rivers water and cool air from karst mountains when reaching each of the 3 caves in turns.

15.30 CYCLING RIDE (optional): Those who love to explore real countryside images of Vietnam can proceed a 40 minute cycling ride along country lane (from Tam Coc to Bich Dong Pagoda, estimated time 40 minutes for 5km cycling 2 ways), experiencing the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields

Day 6: Ninh Binh – Ha Long (B/ L/ D)

08.00 – 08:30 Have breakfast and check out your hotel.

09.00 Our private driver pick up you continue onward by air conditioned through the Vietnamese country side to Halong Bay where you board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of this magical World Heritage Site.

Arrive to Halong City’s jetty (around noon) and proceed with check-in formalities. You will have an overnight experience at Halong Bay.

After a welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay.

In the afternoon, enjoy some sightseeing, on-board activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on the vessel. Getting back to the board, you can watch the sunset meanwhile they serve the fruit and wine party on the sundeck. Have dinner on cruise and free time for the rest of the day. You can join some activities on board like karaoke, watch movie, relaxing at the bar, participating in squid fishing, etc.

Day 7: Three Peaches Bay–Viet Hai Village – Cat Ba Island (B/ L/ D)

06.30 Preparing for a day of outdoor activities, you can get up early to start the day with 30 minutes of Tai Chi practice. This is also the moment visitors can pick up the dawn on the Bay; breathing one of the freshest airs on earth.

07.30 Enjoy breakfast with a menu including: sandwiches, pastries, eggs, ham, sausage full of energy to prepare for exploring the attractive destinations of Cat Ba Island and Lan Ha Bay.

08.30 Transferring guests to another day boat and taking to visit Lan Ha Bay, a beautiful bay that not many visitors know, Three Peaches Bay, sail straight to Viet Hai Village where is located on the mainland in the national forest of Cat Ba National Park, Hai Phong City.

10.00 – 12.00 The boat to Viet Hai wharf, you get bicycles to Viet Hai Village about 4km. A small village deep in the valley, surrounding mountains, beautiful scenery with rice fields, buffalo … You stroll around the village, meet with local people, visit the school of the local children, or 800m walk to a small mountain cave that locate in Cat Ba National Park.

12.00 – 13.00 Cycling back to Viet Hai wharf, Enjoying lunch on board. You relax, sunbathe. Boats will take you away on Lan Ha Bay, directly overlooking Three Beaches Bay.

14.00 – 16.00 You go kayak explore the area of the Three Peaches Bay. Guests can sunbath and swim on the private beach.

17.30 Day boats will take visitors back to the Genesis Regal Cruise, back to the point overnight on the bay.

18.00 Relaxing on the sundeck and enjoying the bay after a long day. Cooking class or join a traditional dish of Vietnam, today we will make fried spring rolls, one of the most traditional dishes for any family in Vietnam.

19.30 Enjoy dinner on board with an all-new menu that includes local seafood delights combined with some Western-style cooking.

20.00 Guests will be free time to choose evening entertainment activities such as relaxing with popular films; playing chess, reading books, listening to music, trying your luck with squid fishing, or playing melodic music with yacht guitars on sundeck, or  enjoying peace on the sack. Lie back and see the night sky in Halong Bay- Lan Ha Bay.

Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/ L)

06.30 For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body, joining Tai Chi session to full charge your energy for the day.

07.00 – 08.00 Local breakfast is served.

Continue exploring the wild beauty of Ha Long Bay. On this day you will be transferred and visit a wonderful cave in Ha Long Bay and join a cooking class to learn how to make Vietnamese spring roll.

10.30 Checkout, have brunch while cruising back to the harbor. Back on shore you will then transfer back to Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi – Free Day (B)

Lunch time: Start from 11: 30 to 14:30 - Dinner time: Start from 18.00 to 21.00

This performance will offer spectators a chance to explore Vietnamese history and culture from a contemporary perspective, with hundreds of performers, an interactive water stage, and state-of-the-art technology. Especially, the open air rice field completes with a replicated village and the Chua Thay Mountain as the backdrop is the setting for this spectacle, which is performed on a submerged stage under a thin layer of water. "Mountains and water are very important in Vietnamese spirituality and folklore, which is why the show takes place on a lake and the Chua Thay hill is visible", says Hoang Nhat Nam, Director of the show. "The Quintessence of Tonkin" will be showcased in different fields of arts from poetry, music, painting, sculpture, architecture, leisure activities to cultural activities in religious belief and in the working life of the people.

DAY 1: ARRIVAN – HA NOI

Pick-up at Noi Bai airport by our guide and driver. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner at a lovely restaurant in the Old French Quarter in Hanoi.Free evening of leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR

The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples.

This full day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilt House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. Also on the tour - the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake along lovers' street Thanh Nien, the tranquil Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and one of the city's museums, either the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY O/N ON BOAT

 Pick up at your hotel and leave Hanoi at 8:15 AM for Halong city by a bus . Get on boat and enjoy a welcome drink and lunch of savoury  local sea food . Check into your cabin and start cruising around the bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations : Lion , Tea Pot , Toad , Dau Nguoi ( Human head ) islet ,and then stop for a walk through the Sung Sot cave “Amazing Cave” . There will be plenty of time for swimming and sunbathing (if weather permitted) after the boat anchors at a clean calm sea . Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner in our beautiful restaurant  before retiring to a comfort of your cabin .

 

DAY 4: HALONG BAY – NINH BINH

You will spend the morning cruising Van Gia floating Village for visiting, kayaking, then going to Bai Tu Long Bay, the neglected area which is the most spectacular bay with islands in different shapes, then you have a look at Hon Gai market, Poem Island.  Comeback to Ha Long city for lunch in the restaurant. After lunch rive to Ninh Binh , the heart of the Red River Delta.

DAY 5: DISCOVERY NINH BINH

Cruise by sampan on Ngo Dong River, Halong Bay on land. Visit Binh Dong Pagoda. Have lunch in a local restaurant and drive to the Phat Diem Cathedral.

DAY 6: NINH BINH – MAI CHAU

Visit Dinh and Le Temple and drive forward to the valley Mai Chau. Stroll around Pomg Cong and Lac Villages.

DAY 7: MAI CHAU – HA NOI – LAO CAI

Leave Mai Chau to Hoa Binh, visit Muong Village and have lunch in Hoa Binh. Back to Hanoi.

Free time in the afternoon to shop in the Old Quarter, gallery hop or simply enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the cafes on Nha Tho (Cathedral Street).

8:00 p.m. Meet our guide at Tran Quy Cap Railway Station. Take soft sleeper, first class on overnight train to Lao Cai - Sapa.

 

DAY 8: LAO CAI – SAPA – HOME STAY

Arrive in Lao Cai early in morning . A seat in coach scenic 38 Km  drive on winding roads up the mountains bring you to Sa Pa approx 1500m above sea level . After breakfast at the hotel , ready for trek to Lao Chai village of black H’mong minority and Tavan village of Zay tribes . Enjoy beautiful scenery along the way . Pinic lunch prepare by the guide serve on the way , see the real life of the very traditional minorities .

Then keep going along the bottom of the  Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village  which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area , where you stay over night in the local family . Our  guide will show to you how to cook Vietnamese food . We enjoy the dinner with the local family .

 

DAY 9 : SAPA – LAO CAI

After breakfast , enjoy the fresh breath of mountainous area morning . Continue with the footpath to trek  through the bamboo forest and reach to Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dzao minorities where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall .Picnic lunch at red Dzao’s family .Amazing sceneries and beautiful waterfall are to be seen in the afternoon .Pass by the rattan bridge to the main road then back to Sapa by jeep , you might stop sometimes on the way to take photos of the fabulous valley of Sapa . tansfer to Lao Cai Railway Station.Train to Hanoi at 9:15 p.m. Overnight on train.

 

DAY 10: HANOI – PERFUME PAGODA

Arrival Hanoi Railway Station at 5:00 a.m. Meet driver and transfer to Perfume Pagoda. Have breakfast and coffee before taking a cruise along a river to an area considered by Vietnamese Buddhists as a holy.

Climbing up to the mountain, visit beautiful temples and pagodas built on cliffs. It will provide you a nice balance of cultural exploration and physical exercise. Lunch at a local restaurant before we cruise back to the dock. Drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
